Terms of Service

Welcome to GO Companion. By downloading, accessing, or using the GO Companion app (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

ABOUT THE APP

GO Companion is an unofficial companion app created by fans of Pokémon GO. The App is designed to help players stay informed about in-game events, raid rotations, shiny Pokémon availability, and other game-related information.

GO Companion is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, or any of their affiliates. Pokémon GO and all related trademarks, logos, and game content are the property of their respective owners.

LICENSE TO USE

Simply Viral LLC grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. This license does not include the right to:

  • Modify, copy, or distribute the App or its content
  • Use the App for any commercial purpose
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Remove any copyright or proprietary notices

NATURE OF THE SERVICE

GO Companion is an informational tool only. The App provides resources, guides, and features to help you track and organize your Pokémon GO gameplay. The App does not:

  • Connect to or interact with Pokémon GO servers
  • Require you to log in with your Pokémon GO account
  • Access, modify, or influence your Pokémon GO game data
  • Provide any unfair advantage or violate Pokémon GO's Terms of Service

We are committed to respecting Niantic's Terms of Service. GO Companion is a standalone informational resource that operates independently of Pokémon GO.

SHINY POKÉMON DISCLAIMER

Important: GO Companion includes features designed to help you track shiny Pokémon availability, shiny rates, and related information. However, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Shiny Pokémon encounters in Pokémon GO are determined entirely by Niantic's game servers and are based on random chance
  • GO Companion has absolutely no control over whether you encounter a shiny Pokémon
  • The App cannot increase, guarantee, or influence your odds of finding shiny Pokémon in any way
  • Shiny rate information displayed in the App is based on community research and may not reflect exact in-game rates
  • Any features related to shinies are purely informational and organizational tools

By using the App, you understand that GO Companion is a companion tool to help you stay informed and organized—it does not and cannot affect your actual gameplay outcomes.

INFORMATION ACCURACY

We strive to provide accurate and up-to-date information about Pokémon GO events, raids, research tasks, and other game content. However:

  • Game information may change without notice at Niantic's discretion
  • We cannot guarantee that all information is accurate, complete, or current
  • Some data is based on community research and user reports
  • You should verify important information through official Pokémon GO channels

SUBSCRIPTIONS AND PAYMENTS

GO Companion offers optional premium subscriptions that unlock additional features. Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to Apple's terms and conditions for in-app purchases.

Subscription management, billing inquiries, and refund requests should be directed to Apple through your App Store account settings. We do not have access to your payment information.

USER CONDUCT

You agree to use GO Companion only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

  • Use the App in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Use the App to collect data for unauthorized purposes
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The App's original content, features, and functionality are owned by Simply Viral LLC and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Pokémon, Pokémon GO, and all related names, characters, and imagery are trademarks and copyrights of The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, and Niantic, Inc. Their use in this App is for informational purposes only.

PRIVACY

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy at gocompanionapp.com/privacy to understand our practices regarding your information.

DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simply Viral LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or any damages related to your Pokémon GO gameplay or account.

INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Simply Viral LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

TERMINATION

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

SEVERABILITY

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Simply Viral LLC regarding your use of the App and supersede any prior agreements.
