We value your privacy and aim to collect as little data as possible while still providing a great experience.
ABOUT GO COMPANION
GO Companion is an unofficial fan-made companion app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Niantic, Inc., The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, or any of their affiliates. The App is designed to help Pokémon GO players stay informed about in-game events and does not connect to, interact with, or access Pokémon GO servers or accounts. We operate in compliance with Pokémon GO's Terms of Service by providing only informational content and not requiring users to log in with their game credentials.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Personal Information
GO Companion does not require account creation and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, or login credentials.
Usage Data
We collect limited, non-personal usage data to understand how the App is used and to improve performance and features. This may include:
- App interactions and feature usage
- App version and device type
- Anonymous analytics events
This data does not identify you personally.
ANALYTICS
We use third-party services to collect anonymous usage analytics. These services help us understand how features are used so we can improve the App.
Mixpanel
We use Mixpanel for analytics. Mixpanel may collect anonymous device identifiers and usage/interaction data. This data is used solely for analytics and product improvement.
RevenueCat
We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions. RevenueCat may collect anonymous device identifiers and purchase-related data to process and validate subscriptions. We do not have access to your payment information.
We do not use analytics data for advertising or tracking you across other apps.
ADVERTISING
GO Companion does not display advertisements and does not share data with advertising networks.
APP PERMISSIONS
Photo Library Access
Used only to allow you to select photos within the App. Photos are accessed locally on your device and are not uploaded or shared by us.
Notifications
Used to send you app-related notifications such as reminders, updates, or alerts. Notifications are optional and can be disabled at any time in iOS settings.
You can manage or revoke permissions at any time through your device settings. Some features may not function correctly if permissions are denied.
DATA STORAGE & SECURITY
We do not maintain user accounts or store personal profiles.
Any data processed by the App is handled using reasonable technical safeguards. While no system can guarantee complete security, we take privacy and data protection seriously.
DATA RETENTION
Anonymous analytics data is retained only for as long as necessary to improve the App and monitor performance.
You may remove the App at any time to stop all data collection.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
GO Companion is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
